CdG2 MAN's simmering and incense-opening opening unfolds into an unusual combination of nutmeg, vetiver and subtle saffron florals, each appearing like chapters in a book. As the pages turn and it evolves on the skin, an understated mahogany and leather bring up the rear. Daring but not brash or harsh; complex but never painful. It's a gamble for a modern classic.
