What do you think is a hidden gem in your city that perfume lovers should absolutely visit? And which perfume from the collection fits that place?

Barcelona is a vibrant city full of culture and art, and there are countless places to discover. I'm happy to share a few tips with you. If you're curious about more, send us a message on Instagram.

The outdoor Olympic swimming pools on Montjuïc hill, also known as the Piscina Municipal de Montjuïc, are definitely worth a visit. What most people don't know, however, is the small terrace bar called Salts at the entrance. It offers casual cuisine and is by far the best place to enjoy a beautiful sunset with spectacular views of Barcelona, including the distinctive shapes of Tibidabo, the Sagrada Familia basilica and the Torre Agbar.

You can catch a glimpse of the view in our recent campaign "How Long is Now" for our perfume Per Sē. We shot the stunning footage at the Piscina Municipal de Montjuïc.

What is your favourite place in Barcelona to relax or get inspired? What fragrance would you recommend wearing in this place?

I would distinguish between summer and winter here. In summer, the best place to relax is on the beach. Barcelona is one of the few international cities with direct access to the Mediterranean. I personally prefer to go a little further outside the city, to a small fishing village called Garraf. It's a 20-minute drive from the centre of Barcelona, but definitely worth it. The small, charming beach is still fairly undiscovered by tourists, making it a perfect place to read a book, enjoy the sea and take a nap - lying in the sand next to a charming fisherman's house or in a hammock at the Soho Little Beach House. My scent of the day would be Hamaca.

During the colder months, I love walking around the city. My favourite spot is a square tucked away among the alleys of the Gothic Quarter, evoking emotion with its serene beauty and history. The Plaza de Sant Felip Neri stands out for its simplicity, and is a true hidden gem that is difficult to access but rewards anyone who finds it. Dominated by a fascinating fountain and a Baroque church, the square is a lively place where the stones speak. It is one of the most special places in the city; a place of tranquillity where you can escape the daily hustle and bustle. My scent of the day would be #Hashtag.

Which hotspot would you recommend for someone who wants to experience the local flavour of the city? And which fragrance creation fits this perfectly?

Being sensitive to exotic influences in Barcelona, I discovered a bar - at first glance not so striking - in the Raval district. But upon entering, I discovered a very different side of the bar, truly a taste of the city's authenticity. It is one of Barcelona's oldest bars, founded in 1820 - an absinthe bar - where 20th-century art world luminaries such as Hemingway, Salvador Dalí and Pablo Picasso found the inspiration that made them world-famous. Absinthe was the favourite drink of bohemians, hyped in the last century for its unique and dizzying effect. Soon, its consumption was banned almost worldwide. Spain was one of the few countries where absinthe could still be drunk. This makes Bar Marsella one of the oldest absinthe bars in history and inspired this unusual ingredient to become the main ingredient in our perfume, Flâneur.

Which shop or market is worth a visit when you are in town? And which perfume would you want to wear yourself if you went there?

The most famous market to visit is La Boqueria. Located in the heart of Barcelona's city centre, it offers the most exotic spices and a wide variety of vegetables, fish and meat.

But just a five-minute walk from La Boqueria is a small square called La Plaça del Pi. It is full of iconic shops and every first and third weekend an artisan food market is held there, which you should definitely visit. The area is frequented by bohemian artists, especially painters, who display their paintings in the square to the side, Plaça Sant Josep Oriol, also known as the Bohemian Square.

After spending some time observing the artists and buying a delicious piece of cheese at the market, I love to take a rest at a small hidden restaurant with only six tables, called Salterio. They have their own special dish, called Sardo, and the béste mint tea in town. They serve it ice cold in summer (super refreshing) and hot in winter. It is the best Moroccan mint tea I have ever tried and it inspired me to create the first perfume with nana mint as the main ingredient, our perfume Wandervogel. Now it goes without saying that I always wear Wandervogel when I am in this area.

Which perfume from the collection would you recommend as an olfactory reminder or fragrant souvenir of your city?

I would say Mosaïque. Intrigued by the contrast between tradition and modernity, our perfume Mosaïque looks beyond a single aspect. Just as the pieces of a mosaic come together when seen as a whole, our Mosaïque is a sum of fragmented moments. It captures the raw and the sensitive, the intense and the delicate, and the brilliance of bygone eras coming together in a new discovery.

The inspiration behind Mosaïque could also describe Barcelona itself. Each neighbourhood has its own charm and together they form Barcelona's unique flair. Mosaics can be seen everywhere throughout the city and are a signature of the most talented architect here, Antoni Gaudí.

His art plays an important role in Barcelona's architectural landscape. If you visit Barcelona not primarily for its cultural heritage, but for the 'fiesta' lifestyle, I recommend our perfume Sónar. From Razzmatazz to Sunday electronic brunch and open-air festivals, Barcelona offers a vibrant selection for music lovers. Reflecting the scent of community and sound, our perfume Sónar combines metallic woods and amber with sparkling Mediterranean bergamot. The subtle scent of beer and an accord of burnt rubber add a unique twist to the usually sweet tuberose, making this a perfume that excites all the senses.
